Coconut Butter vs Coconut Oil
Coconut Butter comes from the meat of the coconut. The whole coconut is ground into a spread, similar to a nut butter. Coconut butter has a melt-in-your-mouth texture and lovely, coconut aroma. Coconut butter contains dietary fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, and heart healthy fat from coconut oil.
Coconut Oil is extracted from coconut milk. Coconut oil is rich lauric acid, which is antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral. Close to 2/3 of its saturated fat is made up of heart healthy medium-chain fatty acids. Coconut oil contains absolutely no trans fat.
