So many commercial toners have chemical-based ingredients or alcohol that they tend to strip delicate skin instead of prime it to absorb moisturizers and serums. This ultra gentle, do-it-yourself recipe includes:
Green tea: for its antioxidant properties
Aloe vera: rich in beta carotene, vitamin C and E + it also acts a lovely oil-free moisturizer (great for those with T-zone or oily complexions)
Rose water: soothes, hydrates, conditions and adds a delicate floral fragrance
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup spring water, heated
- 1 organic green tea bag
- 1 tsp aloe vera gel
- 2 T rose water
Directions
Place hot water in small jar and steep green tea bag for 15 minutes. Remove and squeeze tea bag, then discard. Let cool. Add aloe vera gel and rose water and shake well. Store in small spray bottle.
